Schools Outreach Project Manager

We are looking for a talented teaching professional with an emphasis on secondary and senior secondary mathematics to help us deliver a new project.

The Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI) seeks a talented teaching professional with a particular emphasis on secondary and senior secondary mathematics.

You will play a key role in the delivery of a new project which involves:

  • the delivery of a professional development program for mathematics teachers in clusters around the country,
  • development of mathematics materials aligned to the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics, and
  • creation of materials to promote careers in mathematics.

You will work with a small but dedicated team of academic and professional staff. This role will utilise your diverse skills not only in mathematics and teaching, but also your ability to develop networks, think creatively and work both autonomously and as part of a team.

AMSI is a partnership of 34 of Australia's universities and government agencies. The University of Melbourne hosts AMSI at its Parkville campus, with excellent proximity to the Melbourne CBD and public transport.

Salary: $87,709 - $94,934 p.a.  plus 17% superannuation
Full-time fixed term for 2 years
